March 2022

February has flown by, between celebrating and then being sick, the weeks seem to have been really busy and exhausting. I’m hoping a lighter and warmer march will help me feel a bit more energetic.

  1. Jumper – no change
  2. Chinese landscape cross stitch – no change
  3. Large mixed media embroidery – no change
  4. Clamshell draft excluder – a couple of clamshells were basted
  5. Rosemallow quilt – I completed the triangles, cut and basted more pieces and sewed a fair few more hexagons. This is starting to feel like a big push will finish the top
  6. Butterfly cross stitch – no change
  7. A beaded necklace – I’d read the pattern wrong so remade the pieces
  8. A herringbone rope – no change
  9. Beaded stars on a set of christmas lights – no change

As you can see I didn’t manage my resolution this month, but February is often the hardest month for me so I don’t mind. Especially as I can see the dramatic progress in the rosemallow quilt and I finished something

I finished my small embroidery. While I was sick, this piece caught my attention and was simple enough to feel achievable. I even tidied up the back. All that’s left is mounting it on the gallery wall.

Before I’d rearranged in the hoop and sorted the back

I’ve barely been to pottery, so no update this month

My feature image is the first signs of spring from a walk I took. I’m looking forward to there being more flowers around
